Brightspace TA role enrollment/syncing issues (Aug 26, 2026)

On May 15, 2026, an approved change was made to URI’s Brightspace system which shifted TA enrollment workflows to the Universities eCampus system.  Users attempting to follow the new process and enroll their TA’s in eCampus experienced confusion and were not always able to enroll TAs as needed.  To remove this barrier, ITS staff, in collaboration with the Provost’s Office restored an instructor’s ability to enroll their own TA’s within Brightspace on September 2, 2026. 

ITS, Enrollment Services, and Provost’s Office staff will continue to review the eCampus issues encountered by faculty to prevent similar issues in the future.
