The Networking team is responsible for all low voltage data and telecommunications systems on campus, including Ethernet, WiFi, telephony (contact center/voicemail/dial tone/fax lines/E911), Emergency/Blue Light, door access hardware, security camera hardware, and Internet access. We help you stay connected, on or off campus.

URI ITS provides a wide range of training opportunities.
Wired Networks
The URI wired network is a complex campus-wide system for delivering WIRED network connections to thousands of locations.
WiFi
For individuals with a URI account, the URI Secure network offers the greatest amount of security, with end-to-end encryption and authenticated connections.
VoIP
The university primary telephone system is a Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone system that provides dial tone to all non-emergency phones located at all University locations.
Jabber
The virtual phone service allows you to answer your office phone from any device of your choosing including laptops, desktops, and smartphones.
