Seminar on FPGAs in the Cloud — June 17th

This is an invitation to attend a Technical Seminar on June 17th (Friday) from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the FCAE (Room 040 at lower level).

Prof. Xiaolin Xu, will present his work on “On the Dark Side of FPGA as A Cloud-Hardware Accelerator“.

Nowadays, FPGA clusters are deployed in data centers (such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure) along with CPUs and GPUs as an integral part of the heterogeneous high-performance cloud computing platforms. For example, Amazon AWS F1 instance is built around high-end AMD-Xilinx FPGAs for various acceleration applications, ranging from machine learning to gene sequencing. For those of you who are interested in this rapidly growing technology, this is a great opportunity to learn more about it.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon!
