URI received a warm welcome at the MGHPCC HPC Day (9/9/22) at UMass Lowell as first-time attendees thanks to being new members of the MGHPCC.
The speaker from URI was Dr. Isaac Ginis from GSO who spoke about his long-running major research effort RI-CHAMP. The title of Dr. Ginis’ talk was “Coastal Hazards, Analysis, Modeling, and Prediction for Emergency Management and Response” and it covered content of great relevance to coastal resilience of the entire New England coastline.
The HPC Day event had over 150 registered researchers and plays a critical role in facilitating collaborations in the region in the broad area of computational science and engineering.
