Biography

Dr. Michelle D. Rogers joined URI in March 2020 to direct the ITS Teaching & Learning Services team. She holds an EdD in Instructional Technology and Distance Education (2012, NSU, FL), EdS Masters in Instructional Leadership (2007, NSU, FL), and MS in Biology for Teachers (2005, UW, WA). Her professional background includes online instructional design and educational technology integration since 2005, teaching as online faculty since 2006, and directing and managing distance learning and instructional technology support programs and strategic development since 2012, both domestically and abroad in France and the UAE. She has further worked and volunteered with international development projects on virtual learning and educational development with The University of the People as well as the Matonyok Nomads Development Organization (MANDO) in Kenya.
