Webex
WebEx Video Conferencing service is provided at no cost to all members of the URI community. Through Webex faculty and staff can connect with students and colleagues both within URI and externally.
Features
Webex is an application-sharing and conferencing service that may be used for presentations, demos, training and support and is provided in a cloud-based, hosted format from Webex Communications, Inc., Santa Clara, CA (www.webex.com).
Additional controls offer participants the ability to present materials in a collaborative, user-friendly framework. Webex works well from both Windows and Mac systems and is also available via portable devices such as IPad/IPod and Android-based systems.
With your URI Webex account you may host up to 1000 attendees in a traditional web conference and up to 1000 in Webex Events(Webinar). Features include the ability to host up to 1000 participants per session, breakout rooms for small group discussions and work, HD video, session recording, virtual backgrounds, closed captioning, and more. Webex also allows up to 1000 in Webex Events(Webinar).
Access
Access is integrated into the University Single Sign On (SSO) solution via the Office 365 portal. Accounts are automatically provisioned via a user’s initial access of WebEx through the Office 365 portal.
Visit the Office 365 portal.office.com or rhody.webex.com to log in with your URI email address
