Enjoy the new Webex virtual phone service client! your URI phone number anywhere!

The virtual phone service allows you to answer your office phone from any device of your choosing including laptops, desktops, and smartphones. Take your phone with you to your home office when not on-campus, or take it with you while walking across the quad.

The university is in the process of migrating to a new cloud based phone service using the Webex client software. No new Jabber client setups are being offered however soft client with your URI phone number is still available! This new client offers greatly enhanced features including combining meetings and phone calls as well as chat messaging and a collaborative work environment. There are no fees to move to this new solution and the monthly charges and usage remains the same!

Please note: If your are initiating a NEW service or phone number a monthly recurring charge is required as well as a cost for a physical phone set. Please ask your supervisor to open a ticket with the SD to initiate this request to verify and coordinate billing of services.
