What: Using the URI Webex Training software we have enabled remote lab computers to be available for all authenticated URI students, faculty, and staff. Users can securely schedule and use the public lab computers with such applications as ArcGIS, Lectra, SPSS, Gmetrix, Goldratt, and Minitab. Additional machine capacity and additional software will be added as required.

Why: To provide students, faculty, and staff REMOTE access to lab computers with specialty software packages needed for classroom support

URI Has enabled a Webex feature known as Webex Hands-on-Labs.  This feature will allow users to schedule access to remote lab computers, reserving a block of time with specific applications. 25 windows computers are now available with more being deployed covering lab applications such as
  ArcGIS, Lectra, SPSS, Gmetrix, Goldratt, Minitab
