Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) is built-in to modern Microsoft Windows computers. This antimalware system provides real-time protection against software threats such as viruses, malware, and spyware in email, applications, the cloud, and the web. This system is active by default on all new Windows based computers. You can open the Windows Security app from the Start menu or the taskbar by default. Although it is possible to run an alternative antimalware software offering on personal computer it is not recommended.
