URI’s Event Calendar is a marketing tool for the promotion of your events and for faculty, staff, students and general public to discover what is happening at the university.
You may submit events to the URI Events Calendar by logging into events.uri.edu with your URI SSO.
- Only URI Community members may post events
- Events will be approved within two days
- Questions can be directed to urievents@etal.uri.edu

You can also embed an events calendar widget into your website, as on the Student Involvement page. Please contact Sarah Couch for details.
If your event is either virtual or for students, you must set one (or both) of the following filters to include your event in Rhody Connect and under the events.uri.edu home page tabs.
- Student Events: Select Student under Classifications > Audience
- Virtual Events: Select Virtual & Webinars under Classifications > Event Type
- Trending: Automatic based on EventScore trending algorithm
If you wish for your event to have a push notification sent on the Rhody Connect campus mobile app, include Rhody Connect as a Group under Classifications when submitting an event. Please contact the URI Mobile team for more information about Rhody Connect.
The I’m Interested button allows guests to receive updates and reminders of the event.
The calendar’s registration feature allows event organizers to create e-tickets for events. At this time, only free events are supported through the events calendar registration system, but you may also link out to an external registration/ticket system (e.g., Google, Eventbrite, Zoom, etc.) Questions? The Digest emailer allows you to receive personalized email updates with your favorite interests or group’s events.
