Bluewaves Research Computing
Bluewaves is the first HPC cluster open for use by researchers. It has over 1,000 cores and more than half a petabyte of storage available over a low-latency network. The cluster supports software such as MATLAB, SAS, Python, and R, and can support most Linux-based computational software written in C/C++, FORTRAN, and other programming languages. As a cluster, Bluewaves is good for performing computations that can benefit from being run across multiple servers, synchronously or asynchronously. Most of the servers have 128GB of RAM, although 256GB and 512GB are also available.
