Wired Networks

The URI wired network is a complex campus-wide system for delivering WIRED network connections to thousands of locations. Some devices such as VoIP telephones and desktop computers REQUIRE a physical wired connection. If you encounter a network wall jack that is not active or damaged, please contact the IT Service Desk to arrange repair or activation. If you require a network jack to be installed at a new location please contact the IT Service Desk. (Please note, installation of a new network wall jack does require an installation fee.)
