Mathematica and Mathematica Online software are used to streamline technical computing workflows and problem-solving in support of a wide range of disciplines, from mathematics to chemistry.
Mathematica
There are two versions of Mathematica: (1) Online version, and (2) Desktop (installed) version. Both versions require separate access requests.
- Access Mathematica Online
- Install Mathematica (desktop)
Mathematica (produced by Wolfram) is one of the University’s provided computational software, offering a comprehensive environment for technical computing, symbolic computation, and data visualization across diverse fields. Our campus-wide license ensures unlimited access (including at home) to individual and network licenses for faculty, staff, researchers, and students alike. Should you seek guidance, further details, or consultation on leveraging Mathematica’s capabilities, feel free to connect with the IT Service Desk.
Mathematica Online offers accessibility, ease of use, collaboration features, and automatic updates. The desktop version provides offline access, better performance, customization options, advanced features, and specialized extensions. Both versions cater to different needs, with the web version being ideal for beginners and collaborative work, while the desktop version suits professionals requiring advanced functionality and offline capabilities.
