My preferred 2FA method is not automatically selected for me when I try to log in:

Duo evaluates the supported authentication methods for the application being accessed and automatically selects the most secure authentication option available to the user.

Duo authentication methods from most to least secure:

  • Security keys
  • Duo Mobile push approval
  • YubiKey passcodes
  • Duo Mobile generated passcodes
  • Hardware token passcodes
  • SMS passcodes
  • Phone call approval

If a user wants to try a different Authentication method other than the one selected for them:

Click “Other options”  in the Universal Prompt shows a list of the user’s available authentication methods.

The DUO Mobile app is not listed on my appstore.

Make sure your device’s OS is supported. Currently DUO Mobile supports iOS 13 and Android 8.

The DUO Authenticate box is blank, what do I do?

macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or higher:
1.) Open System Preferences
2.) Navigate to Screen Time > Preferences > Content & Privacy
3.) Set any Web Content restrictions to Unrestricted access.
4.) If you do not want to fully disable content restrictions, you can allow duosecurity.com within the Content Restrictions page on the iOS device or to the allowed Websites Only list on macOS. This will allow the Duo Prompt to display even if content restrictions are enabled.

I lost my phone. How can I reset DUO?
