1. Submit an Application
After an application is submitted, the URI Mobile App Advisory Committee will review the request and schedule a meeting with the applicant department/organization to discuss details in depth.
2. Evaluation
The applicant department/organization will meet with the Mobile App Advisory Committee and the IT Innovation Group mobile app team to discuss all elements of the application, and collaborate on a solution that is compatible with the current mobile app. If the Mobile App Advisory Committee determines that the request is (a) practical, (b) cost-effective, (c) beneficial to our audience, and (d) sustainable, the ITS Innovation Group will develop a plan of action.
3. Plan of Action
The mobile app team will develop a plan of action that involves both design and technical implementation. The plan will include details for implementation as well as sustaining and maintaining the app module over time.
Some types of implementation may require that an applicant department/organization provide funding. This could include purchasing software and images. It could also include costs paid to Modo Labs for particularly complicated installations.
4. Implementation and Maintenance
After the plan of action has been reviewed by all parties, the mobile app team will work with the applicant to implement the app module following the Module Development Guidelines. The newly implemented modules will be submitted to the Modo platform after a review by all parties.
The plan of action will also specify which departments/organizations will be named as stakeholders responsible for maintaining the content of the app module. Modules that are not maintained and populated with content may be brought offline.
