What is ACE? A non-compulsory professional development (PD) framework that recognizes excellence in teaching design, innovation, leadership, excellence, inclusion, support, research, and scholarship. ACE provides awards across categories and levels. These awards are achieved through PD participation, presentations, and collegiate sharing. Submission of competency and issuing of awards is through Brightspace in the Rhody Ed Tech Exchange.

Who can participate? All faculty, staff and students at URI are able to participate in the ACE PD.

What are the benefits? As participants achieve categories and levels, they receive digital awards transferable externally. Upon leveling up, there are special recognition, campus events and opportunities for sharing and being recognized for your excellence, expertise and hard-work.

Which trainings are included in ACE? Any participating PD will be labeled as ‘ACE’ and list which category the PDU will be granted in.
