REC meets every 3-weeks during the academic year. The coalition is has the following exciting updates to share:
- On Campus location secured: A dedicated eSports location in the Memorial Union has been secured. Efforts are underway to optimize and outfit the space.
- Anticipated Launch Date: Targeting Fall 2024 semester

About
The Rhody Esports Coalition (REC) is a collaboration group with members across academics, IT and student interest groups. Together the team has been working on research, data collection, partnership building, proposal writing, and pursuing potential funding pathways.
The current project is to implement a small esports computer lab in the Memorial Student Union where both the student gaming club or any student interest groups could partake in competitive esporting.
REC welcomes new members interested in collaborating on this project. Please contact Michelle Rogers for inclusion in future planning meetings: rogersmd@uri.edu.
